New to ROM Rubix problem

Hello! So i'm new to this rom stuff and decided to use the above as my first. I've looked for an answer as much as I could before posting so here is my problem:
When trying to install rom via rom manager, it turns off goes into recovery, acts like its unpacking then get an exclamation point and phone shuts down and restarts. Now i've gotten everything right I think previously, I have superuser, im on a droid x. I am running 2.3.15, and have tried everything I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest to boot into recovery manually...

Download rubiX from the thread on this forum>Save to root of SD card>go into bootstrap>Bootstrap recovery>reboot recovery>wipe data>wipe cache>install zip>choose zip from SD card>find/choose rubiX>install

After done hit power key to get to previous menue and reboot... Should be all good to go. That is the way I did it worked no issues for me

I'm curious how did you root? What you are experiencing seems to occur quit often when someone uses one of the "one click" apps.

I'll try that and see if I can get it.

I used the multiple phones -root/unroot. Step 2 option A

Used the bootstrap instead of just rom manager. I had been messing with this since 10ish today.

Glad it loaded for you! Have fun with rubiX... it's awesome.

If I might, I would suggest to check out bgill55's section in droid themes and take a look at the Incognito themes. The Black n Tan one is the one I currently have and it looks great on the phone! TONS of additional widgets made to match all of his themes and even ADW themes to go with each color!

Happy theming!! dancedroid
