New To Milestone X

Just picked this up with ntelos after using an incredible for over 2 years. I liked the HTC but im a motorola fan at heart. When I saw the Milestone X i loved it. However, there are lots of differences between that and the HTC. Im wondering if I made the right decision. I got the wife the merge and she likes it, seems to be solid. Are there any howto's on the new moto x? I just figured out why i wasnt getting notified of the emails that come in but as far as customization any ideas?

Im really starting to know at this point why i bought the HTC before. At this point my incredible was much better stock that the milestone x. Would it be any better if i root the phone and just put what I want on there? I didnt find the specific forums that you posted here. It didnt show up in a search by that name either. Thanks for the information though. Does anyone have any ideas why its so laggy and slow compared to the htc or other droid os phones?
