Droid Razr useres! Let the Modding, Roming, and Hacking begin! Developer Nitroglycerine33 has released the first ever Deodexed Rom for the Droid Razr. To make things even more interesting he doesn't even own this device! Don't worry this Rom has been thoroughly tested and is known to boot. Everything works including 3g/4g data, wifi, phone, ect. The only thing not working so far is the Blur-Services.apk which means you will have some issues with blur accounts. This rom is not modified from stock in any way other than the fact that it has been completely deodexed. All the yummy customized stuff comes next! The Deodexing of a device's Stock Rom is always a milestone in the development of any android device.
What is the significance of Deodexing you ask. Deodexing is the repackaging of odexed APKs in a way that they are reassembled into classes.dex files. Doing this puts all of the pieces of an application package together in one place, which eliminates the worry of a modified APK conflicting with some separate odexed parts. In theory this allows for easy modification such as themeing, crt on/off, battery mods, ect since their are no pieces coming from an external place. Deodexing ensures the integrity of a modified Rom.
Please be aware before flashing this rom that if you mess up in the install, and send your phone into a bootloop there is currently no safety net. The Fastboot Files used by Verizon to restore your phone to factory settings and unbrick have not been released to the public. If you are unlucky enough to softbrick your phone in the process of installing this rom, which would not be easy, you will then also have to be lucky enough to have a Verizon rep who would factory reset your phone for you. That being said this is just the very exciting beggining of what is to come for this super sleek device! You have very credible developers such as Nitro, DroidTh3ory, droidjunk, and others busting tail to get something great booted on your device!
