Hello droidforums members! I am newly registered member from the Boston area; my name is Tommy. I am a brand spanking newbie. I have joined your community here today because I just bought my first "smart" phone less than a month ago. I have never owned a cell phone with anything more than the customary call, text, and photo taking ability. Today I have a Motorola DROIDX (Verizon). It's been quite a shock to the system. Anyhow, now that I have been jostled into the 21st century, I find myself grossly lagging in smart phone savvy. I am by no means technologically inept; I am certainly computer literate, quite keen frankly. It's just that I find myself behind the 8 ball at this time. Bricks? ADK's? Jailbreaks? Roots? etc. etc! I just learned what an app is 30 days ago. I am intrigued by seemingly unlimited possibilities. I thought joining this forum would give me the best chance to learn about Droid/Android at my own pace. Thank you for having me.
