Hello my name is Jesse. I am a new member to droidforums.net and this is currently the only forum i am registered to. I am currently waiting on the return of my HTC Thunderbolt for it had issues and is being replaced. I would apreciate any information on rooting. I want to root my phone to run the current gingerbread operating software. Also is there anything else worth doing with rooting? I have jailbroke more ipods and phones than i can count and currently have a ipad 2 jailbroken. So i know how cydia and the iphone jailbreak works is it anything like rooting an android? This is also my first time owning an android phone and my first time on a forum.

I need help with rooting and htc thunderbolt i want to run the current software update operating software. Im not sure if its gingerbread or ice cream sanwhich now but if you could point me in the right direction i would greatly apreciate it.
