Downloaded the straight vending.apk from a droidlife twitter post and installed like an app. Have a D1 running 2.4 and have no problems. Like it so far.

Am i the only one that thinks the new market wastes the whole top of the screen. I liked the tabs. The pretty images are a huge waste. Its worse than coverflow on itunes... because you cannot turn it off. Sorry but useless images and 15min return is epic fail. I feel like i am taking crazy pills.

MBK, will I have any problems with this apk if I'm still on 2.3? My market has been very buggy lately...FC all the time.

I downloaded the apk from droid life and installed on 2.3 without problems. I was about to update to 2.4, but I guess I will wait for 2.5.
