New Feature - Task Manager/Auto End

Hello all.... Just ordered my Pro today (Sat), anxiously awaiting its arrival next week.

I was watching the Initial Impressions video posted by AC and noticed a feature I have never seen on an Android phone until the Pro. I have had the DINC, Droid, Droid X and Fascinate.

In Task Manager you can not only kill apps, but you can add apps to a Auto End list that will kill the app(s) as soon as you turn off the screen. Its not ATK, but it has its purpose.

Sounds just like the auto-kill list in ATK.

My guess... it will still probably cause problems with the Android OS

Yeah, it's just part of the app.. i'd recommend removing the app before it starts to cause problems. Task killers only serve a purpose when a bad app starts to go a little wacky.

To me (and this is just my opinion), I dont see a problem with having an app autokill when you are done using it, as opposed to killing a background service that can have other dependancies that a user may not be aware of.

But then.. I have never used a TK before.

The Android OS has a built in task killer...and does a good job at it. If you introduce a 2nd type of "task killer" it's been proven over and over that they won't "play nice" with each other and there will be issues.
