Greetings fellow Droid Forum members! I joined yesterday 'cause I want to find out more about my Droid X and also have a place to commiserate with other phone owners. I'm an engineer, mostly a .NET kinda guy but lately I've been programming Android using Java. Trying to get a simple app out on the market, aimed at the competitive sailing community.
Outside my professional life, I'm a husband and father, musician, motorcyclist and general tinkerer. I'm trying to build something every day, be it a thing, an application, or the perfect guitar solo...not always succeeding at any!

I'm on my third Droid X: the first went overboard with me in a race on the Long Island sound this past summer. My second developed the dreaded 'bottom half of the screen is toast' problem. Hopefully this third handset will last, but I've already run into a few issues...but no whining here!
