New Elephone Announced with Crazy Name, Specs and Price: The Vowney

The folks at Elephone have a crazy new smartphone they just announced. It's crazy for a variety of reasons. First, it has a crazy name, the Elephone Vowney. While you are trying to wrap your head around that one, the price is equally as crazy: $299.99. Why is that a crazy price? Because the specs are crazy as well!

• 5.5-inch LTPS display with 2560 x 1440 and 534 pixels per inch
• MediaTek Helio X10, which is a 64-bit, octa-core CPU with PowerVR GX6200 GPU
• 4GB RAM
• 32GB storage
• The ability to carry two SIM cards
• Sony 21 megapixel Exmor IMX230 camera sensor, at 1/2.4" aperture size with phase detection auto focus, and a dual LED flash sidekick - capable of super-quick (0.15 seconds) focusing times - 4K UHD video - 120 FPS slow motion clips
• Touch-type fingerprint scanner - only requires half a second from touch to unlocked screen
• 8-megapixel selfie cam
• Android 5.1 Lollipop
• 153 x 76.8 mm - 8.9mm thin
• 4,000 mAh Li-Ion cell

We have no word on if the device will come to the US, but we will keep you posted if it does.

I qas looking at this phone for months on their website and if i wasnt with Verizon I would get it. But with that not happening I got the Note 5. Will see next year what they bring and what options I will have. I am curious how this will stack up to the P9000.

I wish this was available on verizon. Looks like some pretty decent specs at a pretty decent price.
