New to droid and the forum. So far it's a learning experience with many searches on use and apps. My main concern is apps from the market place and security. Some apps prior to installing I will check the security and some seem to have access to evrything but the kitchen sink so how secure are the free apps we download?

It's so updates can be had when they come out, GPS apps need information to find you.
These apps do not have access to root of your phone.
I haven't heard of complaints yet.
If it was a risk, there would be a huge backlash at Google, Market, and any others that had anything to do with these devices.
