New DROID Owner Happy As Hell So Far

Not yet, but should be soon by all accounts! There's a video clip around here somewhere actually showing flash10.1 on a droid, so they're close. "first quarter" is the overly-vague language being floated...

Welcome, and I hope you're recovering well from the close call!

'Silverlight' is the Microsoft streaming media plugin (much less commonly used in my experience) while Flash (10.1) is the Adobe software streaming media plugin that currently dominates the net, mobile and otherwise. I'm not sure about Android support for Silverlight (MS has Windows Mobile 6.X and 7, for instance) but Android support for Flash sould be coming soon. IPhone, probably not so much.

Thanks, I use Wilife.com surveillance video system and can live view the place over a desk or laptop connection. It asks if I want to upgrade to Silver-light or use the old one if it's a first time onthe machine and I upgrade.

I get this far with the DROID but it sits there after I choose to use either version. I'm hoping the Flash add-in will help. But for now I am happy with video clips of things that trip the cameras to send me .wmv files.
