New Droid Eris owner. have a question.

Just bought the Eris. I am having fun with my new toy.Question is, I bought a Dane Elec 16 gb micro sd hc card but, the phone does not detect the card. if i put the original back in everything works fine. So, am i doing something wrong? or is the 16gb card not working? any ideas? TIA.

Did you unmount the memory before putting in the new card?

Yeah, I unmounted the card. I thought I had done something wrong but, it turned out that the card was fried. Got a new one coming tomorrow. thank you for responding.
