New and needs help

I registered with this site hoping someone could help me with my LG Vortex. I want to set a CUSTOM notification tone, like you can do with the ringtones. Somehow one of my ringtones made it into my notifications but I am not sure how to get the ones I actually want there. The subdivisions on my SD card didn't seem to work, aside from making it irritating to find my music in the misc folders. Appreciate any help. :icon_eek:
