Need to change Gmail account password

I set up my Droid X with my Gmail account but now I need to change the password in my Gmail account online. So I did it, and now my Droid X will not sync to the Gmail account. I had to go back to the old password for it to sync. Help! Is this an issue that others have resolved?

The X should prompt you for a password after you change it on your PC.
