need help with Tasker! Turn on airplane mode if cell strength is low

Turn on airplane mode if cell strength is low, to save my battery

I am trying to build a profile so that if my cell strength gets too low AIRPLANE mode gets turned on and after a certain amount of time, say 15 to 30 minutes it will turn off and check to see if the cell strength is better and if it is then it leaves airplane mode off for a preset time, say 5 to 10 minutes.

Then it repeats itself but if the cell strength is above a certain point airplane mode stays off.

ANY ideas? I am new to tasker and have yet to grasp how to program a profile and tasks.

Think this may work???

Profile: Underground
Context: State - Signal Strength - 0 to 1

Task: Underground
A1: Wait 1 minute
A2: Airplane Mode - Set - On - If %CELLSIG<1
A3: Wait 10 minutes
A4: Airplane Mode - Set - Off

I may possibly try this as well! Neither are my work I just found them is all!

Anyone using this thread any longer?

Profile 1 (Check Signal)
Context - State - Variable Value
Cell Service State Matches noservice
(%CELLSRV ~ noservice)
Task

  • Wait 1 minute
  • If %CELLSRV ~ noservice
  • Airplane Mode - ON
  • End If
Repeat this in the exit task
Profile 2 (Wait 10 min when in Airplane Mode)
Context - State - Airplane Mode
Task

  • Wait 10 minutes
  • Airplane Mode - Off
Exit Task

  • Airplane Mode - Off
