Need help with flashing ROMS... .605

I just need some clarification on jumping back and forth between ROMS. I am currently running a .602 based MIUI ROM. I am somehwhat interested in checking out a new Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the .605 Gingerbread. So, I know what I need to do to get to the .605 rooted stock. And I am planning on making a backup of my current ROM in Clockwork recovery. So once I am on the .605 ROM, can I just restore back to the .602 MIUI ROM without going back to .602 stock? I am assuming I wont need to, just want to make sure I understand all of this.
