Need Help screen not responding

I have a droid 3 that i left at the job site for a weekend because i forgot it and it stayed out side for one night then the rest of the weekend it was inside but after i recharged it yesterday the screen did not respond! the rest of the phone seems to work well, the screen lights up and i cant see any bad spots in the screen but it doesn't respond at all to touch! I have a lot of data on the phone that i would like to recover! i took it apart last night an there was a spot on the mother board that looked bad! Does anyone have any idea of what i could be! I need help! Thanks
