Need help phone wont turn back on

First of all I have an Ultra I know this is the Maxx page but there is like no activity in the Ultra page. Anyways I was messing around playing a game on my phone and all of a sudden the volume goes from full blast down to zero by its self. I tried to turn it back up but had to go into settings to do it. A little bit later it did it again while looking at facebook. I was like whats going on. I go to hit the power button to time out the phone and nothing. So I held the power button for a few seconds then the ap fastboot. It have me a few options like normal power up, recovery, factory, barcode, and something else. It said vol.up selects and vol down scrolls but when I push vol up it goes down to next category and vol. down does nothing. The screen says device is LOCKED status code 0. Not sure what to do. I have only had the phone about 8-10 days now.

Also I haven't rooted or tried to root a phone since my Thunderbolt. I wasn't crazy over it so I never did it again on my other phones

Press and hold power +volume down for 5 seconds like..one one thousand..two one thousand..to 5... Let it go and then select normal power up...should do it but if not...

Have access to a qi charger?? Set it on one..if it will fire up..that will make it..I've had this issue with my maxx since the new update...idk wth the deal is..even done some FDR's...

I also have an issue with power and volume down not working at times..

Ok well I held the power and volume down like you said and the phone just shut off didn't do anything. I didn't even get a chance to select anything. Also might be a stupid question what is a qi charger?

I'm thinking it does..but I'm not 100%... A qi charger is a wireless charger...

Try plugging it in for a while..and try the volume down and power together....again inna few hours..

According to google ...and motorola...the ultra does do wireless charging...I think the maxx and ultra are identical except for the battery..

It sounds like there is a problem with the volume buttons. Do you have a case on the phone? Is it better if you take the case off?

Well finally got it on. Kept doing same thing as mentioned above for 3 hours. Don't know y it did that. I do have a case and I had it off while trying to get phone on. I was told the ultra does not have wireless charging. Thanks for the help guys

Wow..that's just stupid imho(wireless charging)..its on the mini, and the maxx but not the ultra?? I learned something..

Glad you got it sorted out..my maxx has issues like this at times...only since the kk update though...

Really the Mini does but the Ultra doesn't. That's weird. Isnt the Mini the lowest version too? I kinda wish I had it. Be kinda cool to have
