Need help modding Blur Cardock on Apex 1.3.1

I was wondering if there was anyone that could help direct me on how to modify the Moto Cardock app to look like OTA. The white background on the buttons is to hard for me when driving at night but I prefer it over the AOSP cardock for certain features; compass on the button, the dialer, the map app under my location having speed.
