Nearly Bricked/Restored Factory Settings

So, I got a Samsung Galaxy 3 yesterday, but I wanted to hang on to my Droid 3 and repurpose it somehow.

Stupid me decided to restore factory defaults on it, and now the only option I have is to call and activate it.

Any ideas of what I can do to bypass this and get the phone at least somewhat useable?

I've done successful roots on multiple devices, so I can at least follow directions.
