My Rooted Droid X

So I recently rooted my phone. Love having full control of it now.

The apps I've gotten so far are:

AdFree
Root Explorer
DroCap2
SystemUser
Terminal Emulator
SystemApp Remover
Droid OverClock

With that said... any suggestions on rooted apparently you guys use?

Also I'm very interested in the idea of custom roms and the such. Just not sure how exactly that stuff works.

So any advice, links, app suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on root! One of my fav root apps is Titanium Backup.

As far as custom ROMS, there's plenty around for the DX. Be sure to read up in the DX hacks section.

Will do!

What is Titanium used for?

I would assume(obviously) by the name that it backs up whatever apps data you wouldn't want lost in case of a crash?

Definitely check out the Hacks section thanks.

I'm a pretty big fan of the app Cerberus, you don't need root for it to work but there's more functionality if you're rooted. Wifi Tether for Root Users is another cool app, you can't get it on the market but you can Google search to download the apk. Root Tools and Boot Logo Changer are both by JRummy (the guy who made Android Overclock) and they're both great apps for more customization

Is Wi-Fi tethering relatively easy to do?? I'll check out Cerberus now

it's beyond easy. Should work just by installing the app but worst case scenario you may have to flash the WugFresh Wireless Tether Patch in CWM which is as easy as flashing any ROM
