I have tried just about every ICS Root method i could find and none of them will root my phone it just keeps getting stuck on "Waiting for device to respond" and it never connects.... anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it....

Are you using the original cord that came with your phone? If not try using that or another motorola cord. Also try a different usb port. I've read about some things not working unless the original cord is used.

Also, you have to use the razors_edge_windows.zip method to root ICS. The earlier motofail method only works on gingerbread.

just rooted this moring using razors edge method. worked flawlessly. I got the latest drivers right from Motorola.

I'm attempting to root on .232, but it just hangs on *daemon started successfully* and doesn't do anything. Yes, it is the original cable, yes I installed drivers, yes usb debugging is checked, and I tried all 4 of my usb ports. Guess this beast wasn't meant to be rooted? :\

Am I supposed to leave it in mass storage? Doesn't have charge only like gb used to

I haven't tried running any exploit.I wasn't even going to root, but decided to see if my backup from .905 that Voodoo made would work on .232..surprisingly it did..just had to reboot once after I hit root. Wonderful little app!

Mtp mode

Reboot pc after installing drivers. Have phone in usb debugging mode then plug into pc. Choose mtp mode. Then run razredge.

You sure they are most recent drivers?

Downloaded from that newer sticky in the Bionic section with all the dl links for everything. When I ask it to check, it says up to date.

Same thing, started successfully and then just sits there and does nothing
