somewhat new to forums, thought i was following proper the proper rules but i just got scolded!

can someone fill me in as to what cross posting is? is it asking for help in a few different places? i re worded my post a few different ways because i was unsure i was explaining myself enough. I posted to what i thought was the proper place but go my wrist slapped.

i need some forum etiquette.

You pretty much answered your own question. Cross posting is when you ask the same question accross multiple forums.

I hope the "scolding" didn't come accross to harsh, because that wouldn't be the intent. If you feel it did, then the best thing to do would be to use PM (private message) and contact any Moderator or Admin and they will be more than happy to discuss it. To add another tip....questioning moderation in public is against droidfourms policy as it is pretty much everywhere. That's why I suggest using PM.

I figure I better add this...I don't take your question above as questioning moderation. It's a legit question and I applaud your effort to want to know and learn.

Short and Sweet

1. Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
2. Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
3. Use a meaningful title for your thread.
4. Do not use a forum to promote your product, service or business.
