My Droid Razr - Finger Slide Technique not working on my phone

Hey Guys,

Just bought a Droid Razr last week and everything was going well. Last night, I was playing one of the apps when none of the slide responses was working on my phone. Turned the screen off and back on and noticed I can't even access anything on my phone because the slide technique ( I assume you know but if you don't, the necessary "finger across the screen" technique that is needed on pretty much any phone) is not responding. None of the buttons on the button of my phone work. I can't even turn my phone off. I was going to go the store where I bought but I though someone could help me out.

Thanks

Hold the pwer button and the volume- button for about 20 seconds, that should simulate a "battery pull", also, do you have any intrusive apps downloaded? Such as lookout?

Have you tried holding down the power button AND the volume down button at the same time for about 10 seconds. That's the "official" reboot. It worked for me the other day when nothing was responding.

Eshef and Arodnum1,

Thanks for the help. That's all that was needed. Didn't know about that feature.

Best of luck to you guys and keep on helping others.

Sorry to bump the thread but I have the same issues as OP... except the reboot isn't working(It comes back in the same state). Nothing happens when I press the lock button, when I get calls, the screen lights up and I can use it, but when the call is over, it goes back to the lockscreen. If i press the lock button while the screen is lit up,the screen shuts off, but I can't light it back up by pressing the lock button again. I'm getting notifications and whatnot as normal, but I can't access them.

Any thing I can do, or should I just return it?

If you've tried to push the start button and the volume down button, both at the same time, for at least 10 seconds, and that doesn't do it, then I would certainly take it back. :frown:
