I just noticed that when I play a song that doesn't have album art it defaults to a picture in my gallery.

What setting do you change for that? I never selected a picture for it nor do I want a picture with the songs.

How do I get that pic to stop showing?

I get the same issue for the same reason. It's like when I download a voicemail and it plays through my music player, it shows a random pic from my gallery and uses it as a default. Dunno why it happens nor how to change it. Sorry =(
