Music player wont open-

I have Droid Incredible and my Music player wont open. I get the "Sorry! The application Music (process com.htc.music) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." force close. It has always worked fine. The music player came with the phone, so I don't know how to delete it and then re-install it, if I even can. Can anybody help me fix this problem. thanks

go to settings --> applications --> manage applications --> "All" tab

go to music and "Clear data" and "clear cache". If that doesn't fix your problem then you're SOL.
Try restarting the phone, maybe that should help.

dancedroid :icon_ banana::icon_ lala: thankyou sooooo much..

Guessing it worked. Glad I could help.

If you have a similar problem with apps in the future, just use those steps. "Clear cache" i believe is the only thing you need to do for it to work, but since i'm not 100% sure I suggested you did both.

Yes, it worked. But, what exactly does "clear data" and "clear cache" do? I thought it would wipe all the data from my music, but it's all still there. I had already restarted my phone several times, and it did nothing.
