Multiple Text Notifications with Handcent

I have handcent sms installed, and notifications disabled in the messaging app, but am still getting the default notification ringtone before the handcent notification. I've restarted, as well as done a battery pull. Anyone have any ideas?

I did, but obiously not well enough. Only had one thread come up. Thanks for the quick reply though. Will head right over and check it out.

I think it's the last post... short thread... he found it was a setting in his e-mail I believe. Hope it helps. def check back.
