Multi txt convo

I have searched, so I am trying to fig out how to txt 2 ppl @ o.ce as in reply. My friends have iPhones a.d when they send a multi contact txt the other iphone user can just reply and we all get it. Me I ha e to make a new convo with them both addressed. Instead of just replying and them both getting. Cuz only one person gets it. Is there a way to just reply to the multi convo a.d not keep separate onez? Sry if I was confusing I hope someone understands me
