MSN Messenger Problems

I Have the Droid 4 and my gf sends me txt messages from msn messenger due to where she lives there is no cell service. I can receive the messages from her but she isnt receiving my responses. What is wrong or what am i doing wrong? Has anybody else had the same problem and how do i fix?

She is on her laptop. And yes it was working before I switched phones.

Let me ask how it's setup...

Is it setup to where she's sending you messages to your MSN, which in turn sends you a text when you're offline? Or is she actually sending you IM's via a Messenger app for Android?

She has it set up to where she sends me a message through her laptop windows live messenger to my cell phone number as an sms
message
