Moving photographs

Took a pic and tried sending it via email and gmail to three different accounts and it doesn't show up. When I open gmail on the droid now it shows the email and it says "sending" in red and it has been that way for hours. Any thoughts?

How large is the picture? I sent a few to myself that were 2MB in size and I was able to open them, but not save them to my phone.
I think my problem is related to the pictures being .bmp, when they need to be .jpg.

So maybe the format of your pics is incorrect for what the Droid reads?

I am using the Droid camera to take the pic so I assume it's the correct format.
