Moving Calendar App Data to new phone.

I just realized that I have been using the Calendar App on my phone rather than Google Calendar. And so, of course, it isn't sync'd. I am going to a new phone this afternoon and want to transfer my Calendar data.

Is there anyway to do this?

Where is the Calendar date stored?

In crisis mode here and any help is appreciated.

That's strange. I have used/tried quite a few calendar apps and they all synced with the Google calendar. Check the settings to see if there is an option for syncing to turn on/off. Also check to see if there is an export function.

Nope

This is no export function and if one goes to "Calendars to Sync" under "Device Calendar" it is listed as "non-syncable"

Thanks for responding though.

Is it not connected to your Google account/calendar?

No. That's what I'm saying. I used the stupid droid calendar rather than the Google one. No matter. I didn't have that much in it (retired! ;-) Most of it was recurring stuff so I just reentered it in. But now I know to use the Google linked calendar.

Thanks for the response.

Did you figure this out?

Same issue with my HTC Incredible ADR6300 with software Android 2.3.4 and Android Calendar for HTC Incredible. Google will not import any events at all from phones with this older version (2.3.4) software. The original HTC Incredible (ADR6300) will not support later software so no way to get it to transfer/backup/copy to Google calendar. I haven't found any app to backup the Android calendar. I rely on the calendar and that is a problem, especially since I dropped the phone 4 days ago and busted LCD (AMOLED) (screen/digitizer didn't crack or break at all). Nothing on display at all so cannot access anything, including calendar with all critical events, appointments, and notes. I found a used ADR6300 with bad ESN on ebay for $25. Going to try to transplant logic board from my phone to this one. As long as ESN is stored in motherboard, I should be OK to access everything and use the phone. I picked the Incredible specifically for the calendar. Hard to believe I can't backup or transfer it. Someone please let me know if there is a solution I haven't found yet.

Glad you were able to re-enter it & figured out the two different options. My wife made the same mistake last year and was using the non-syncable Device Calendar instead of Google and I never figured out a way to copy that. She had to re-enter it all into the syncable Google calendar and I made sure that Google Calendar was the default option so the non syncable Device Calendar was not always the default choice. I never found a way to copy from one to the other.

There is a app in the Playstore called Super Backup, which will back the internal calendar entries I believe. I used it to help someone else, and it did. It backs up other things too. You may be able to back up the calendar on old phone, then copy that file to an SD Card to Bluetooth transfer to new phone. On new phone. download Super Backup. Also, on new phone, act like you are creating a calendar entry, change the default save to location to your Gmail id (I think newer Android phones default to this now? ) then restore the file from Super Backup to the calendar. Don't remember if it does put them into Gmail entries, but with the try, right? If it didn't change where they are stored, you at least have the entries! I think some phones allow you to change the entry locations (again, I think). Does anyone know the file type/name of the calendar file on phone? If screen doesn't work, you may be able to locate that file and connect to PC via USB (that situation is in another tech help question! ! ) and then restore or convert from some app. I can only find that it puts them into an SQLite file format.
