In researching for my next phone upgrade I decided to get on Motorola's website to compare the Bionic, X2, and 3. Upon reaching the phones' individual pages there were offers on purchasing the phone through Motorola's website instead of going through Verizon's Website. I went through both websites, adding each phone to the shopping cart and the following table lists the prices displayed in the shopping cart. I did not buy any of the phones so I cannot completely confirm the prices.

Has anyone purchased their phone on Moto's website? If so, is there any reason to not purchase through them? I find it pretty odd that the No Contract prices are higher on Moto's website, but the New Contract and Renewing Contract prices are considerably less.
