I've tried that game. It doesn't work. I just hope if I do take the plunge that this phone will hold me over for at least a year. I'm not gonna do the new every six month thing.

And it looks like the Shadow may actually be called the Xtreme again according to a few sites that posted info about the accessories in the Verizon system.

Verizon needs to come out and officially announce this damn thing already.

To bad some are still saying the shadow is the Droid2 they seem to be a little lost.
On another note with bill saying the Droid pro and world edition are the same phone and you can wait it wouldn't be a bad choice

Yeah I'm going to wait until December to choose the Xtreme, Droid 2 or Droid Pro.

If the Droid Pro is a world edition Droid 2, I will go with that one. I can then sell my BB Tour.

I wonder if Moto Blur is actually invisible and runs "underneath" Android.

I doubt its invisible but I know you can turn it off. I think the Droid we will be the cdma/gsm device but it will be the same thing as the pro

You don't think by December there will be some other monster lurking in the Shadows that will make all of these look like toys??? I mean there is all of this talk today about the dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon that is coming. Who know what else in six months.

I gotta ask. What exactly is a world phone???

And I am just as confused on the whole Ninjablur/Motoblur thing. From what I read it runs in the background. But does that mean there is no cheesy UI???

Well the dualcore snapdragon is coming and so is the omap 4430/30 both dualcore ill take a device with the latter

Actually there is an explanation I would bet dollars to donuts on it. I found an article about the 3630 that I linked in another thread where T.I. states that it is nothing more than a die shrink of the 3430 BUT they also go on to state that it has a 75% increase in graphics performance. Now taking T.I. at their word about the increased graphics performance and the benchmark in question, Quadrant, which runs a 2D and 3D graphics suite, I am willing to bet that the Graphics results in that benchmark are weighed higher than the other tests overall. This would easily explain how the Moto Shadow achieves such scores on Android 2.1

The easiest way to test this is run LinPack on the Shadow and see how it compares to the Droid, Incredible, etc...

Nor am I the snapdragon is overrated. It's like their built to run at a clock speed and not much above it looks like ti leaves some room above its rated speed or double that speed for some. Xda kinda turned me off lately

Exactly my point. The Galaxy S runs a Hummingbird which uses a tweaked Cortex A-8 at 1 Ghz and supposedly has a higher end GPU than the OMAP 3430. Taking that into account it just goes one step further to prove that the Quadrant benchmark weighs the 2D/3D Graphics suite higher than the others.

In that first picture, I may be mistaken.. but it looks like the USB and HDMI ports are mislabeled.. are they not switched?
