Did someone at Verizon and/or Motorola just jump the gun, or is this the classic "fly fishing" style of marketing? Someone just posted an image of the new Droid Turbo on the @DroidLanding page, but then quickly yanked it. Luckily, it was grabbed before it was removed.

As you can see in the pic, we have a red version of the Kevlar backed device, and it is looking as sharp as ever. You gotta give credit to Moto... they certainly know how to make a good-looking smartphone. Sound off if you are having a hard time deciding between this device and some other notable releases this Fall.

Our Droid Turbo section here in the forums is really taking off, but that's not surprising. This is the biggest Droid launch we have seen in quite some time. Could we see Motorola rise from the ashes like a phoenix and start dominating the Android landscape again?

Looks pretty sweet!

I'm hoping this sparks interest in the Droid Line-up once again, they were the device to own 'back in the day' Go Motorola Droid! :)
Made me change my tune, less than 3 months ago I was telling people on Verizon bypass the droid and go moto x. Same phone with faster updates, developer version, and the ability to customize. Now there is no developer version, the turbo have better specs, better battery, and now looks much better. If you going to be locked down and stuck for another 2 years better off going with the option that has better battery life.

I was 100% in the bank for the Note 4 earlier this summer. My wife just got the SG5 and its awesome, and my Razr Maxx Hd is starting to show its age a bit.

Then I saw the specs for this device the other day. All those beefed up specs AND a longer lasting battery than the legitimate beast I have now? Man, that will be extremely difficult to pass up.

My only issue is having to pay full retail. No way am I giving up unlimited data. But this is the first droid ina long time that I've wanted. No hard keyboard still sucks. Swipe will never be as good and neither is having half my screen taken up by a digital set of keys anything short of annoying. Do love the looks of this thing though.

Swype is nice, but I've gotten really used to swiftkey. Their algorithms to learn the way you type really speeds up how quickly you can send messages. And even better, you can shrink how much room the keyboard takes up, all the way down to about 1/4 of the screen.

ive been told about all these other types of keyboard apps, but at the end it boils down to having hardkeys with functional buttons that dont take up screen realestate (especially in landscape mode) on your device. I really wish they make a qwerty slider with similar specs.

THIS phone has my name written all over it. If I can get it in red...OMG> Awww, that's the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it...

The more I'm seeing of it, the more I am thinking this will be the phone to own.
