Motorola Droid Google search bar

How do you clear the Google Search bar? I've tried going to my google account and clearing web searches, change the settings to clear history but the searches still show up including errors like just the letters PA.

I'm not sure about the widget, but on Google home page in the browser, there's an option to clear search history in the suggestions drop-down tab from the search text field. Maybe this clears all search history including the search widget?

Tried that. doesn't work. I'm trying to clear the history in the widget

On your Droid, go to Settings > Search > Clear search shortcuts. I'm pretty sure that clears all that out.
