Motorola Droid A855 Upgrade to Droid A955 Keypad?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows if the ribbon for the Droid2's are the same as the Droid1's. I have been using a friends R2D2, and I absolutely love the spaced out keypad. Does anyone know if they work in the Droid1's or should I just buy one and fine out for everyone?

You mean take half of the Droid 1 and half of the Droid 2 and make a Droid 1.5 - it probably will not work

The Droid 2 Global is what I would be looking at if I were you

I understood - and it probably won't work, I like the D2 keypad also - it is quite the improvement but I am going to wait to upgrade from the Original Droid for something bigger and better

Well I am sort of looking for a more of a technical explanation of the compatibility, like backed up with fact. I am wondering if anyone has done any repairs on the Droid 2 as well as the Droid 1. I have only had experience with the Droid 1. I have not had a client yet needing repair on a 2, so I do not know if all the internals of the 2 are identical, just upgraded, rather than only a more sleek casing.

Awesome, I see in the pictures that the connection is the same, that's the first good news. Just hope there is no "driver" type issue with it.

If its that big of a deal why not just get a Droid 2 and have all the benefits of an upgraded phone?
