Motorola Droid 1 Touch Screen Not Responding!

Hello! On my droid 1 I first rooted it and tried to flash a custom rom, which failed and the phone got bricked. After I got a factory cable and unbricked the phone, I flashed back to stock rom. But now when i start up the phone in stock there are 2 problems

  1. The Battery wont charge
  2. The touch screen doesnt work

The only way to get my phone to start up is via the factory cable.

the other problem, touch screen failure is that when it turns on i can't "touch the android to start" but I can use the keypad to navigate.

One more detail is that the red light in the top right corner of the phone is lit

Thanks for your help!

Did you try kfazz ICS or JB. Happened to me too. I sbf'd back. There's a line in his OP about trying different kernels (which I did) and then contacting him if that didn't work. I didn't want to wait out a response.
