Looks like we already have root for the motorola atrix, wont be long before the bionic is rooted and possibly have developers working on roms.

Locked down is not keeping it from being rooted. Its more a matter of custom roms and a custom recovery that is effected by locked bootloaders. The droid x and droid 2 is rooted and have roms.

Rooting is not difficult. Getting passed locked bootloaders is very difficult. If all you want is root then the Bionic should be fine but for those of us who like more customization... we'll have to wait and see.
