The Moto X pure is rocking a 6 core processor with 3GB of ram. How fast can it chew through a benchar? Remember benchmarks are not an indicator of how well a phone will perform in real life. The test act as a stress test (worse case scenario) for the devices to show you what your processor and ram are really capable of. In this video the Moto X Pure does a pretty decent job!

Am I reading that right? Only 49k?

My Note 4 is running a constant 50k. I kinda figured the MXP would be doing a better than that.

Yeah, my NEXUS 6 running stock ROM and Kernel (encryption disabled) gets 49k. Put a custom kernel on it and it goes above 50k.

I wonder if it's from the Adreno 418.

Heck my LG G3 running Jasmine and a stock kernel is posting 43K numbers.
Not impressed.....
It seems to be common with the 808 and in not sure why.

It's time to move on from meaningless benchmark tests and start focusing on stuff that makes a difference, like loading webpages and to a lesser extent bandwidth speeds.
