If you unwittingly took the update to 4.4.4 on your 2014 Moto X you more than likely lost root. Since then you have been patiently waiting for a new root method. The wait is finally over! The developers of the Mofo app have just released an update. 5.0 will remain blocked for now until a proper image becomes available. To root your Moto X download and run the motoverify. This will verify that your device is compatible for mofo root. Once your device is verified you will be asked to pay the fee. Mofo will then run to root your device!
