Modified My Car Mount

I was really into using Pandora radio and gps through AUX, but didnt want my :motdroidhoriz: flying around in my 450hp beast. So Basically I had the Verizon combo case and mount for $24. Since Ive been using it, it has made my windshield cluttered. I already had a Hardwired Radar Detector, and Custom Made Gauges, and the suction cup arm is massive in size....plus it would fall off overnight....leaving smudges.

I utilized the back case (shaved the locking tabs so I can easily pull it out) and took the hook mount off the arm and added a rubber stop that perfectly clips to my ashtray....very sturdy too.

If your wondering what that rocker switch is for it powers the Halo's.

End Result....

So Far I love it!!....It's like my GPS/PANDORA RADIO/COMMAND CENTER!!:icon_ banana:

Nice find, it looks like it obstructs the controls though in landscape....BTW I read it mounts with adhesive, a no no for my custom painted interior.

I just cant use anything with adhesive... Not sure if anyone has an X-Terra but there are no smooth surfaces to attach it to. Or ashtrays in mine

Because I didn't want a girls car...........
My halos are colored Not white and wont fade.......
My charger is more roomier, bigger but still faster than an m3 at the track.....
AUTO BECAUSE WHEN IM ON A DATE I WANT THAT EXTRA HAND....LOL
MY CAR sounds like a muscle car and not a kazooo
with the economy why not support our own USA workforce

Great post Inferno! This is a great point! As a BMW enthusiast and owner of a daily driver Honda Civic, I couldn't pick a better response. The Kazoo remark capped the post off...one of the funniest I've seen here.

Nice work! Unfortunately there's no way I could mount the Droid like that in my car but I already have a bracket -- just need a new device mount.

To be honest even a Honda is a great car with a 4cyl because it fits the economy class perfect, its cheaper, and lasts a long time.
