Wow, need some more info please, like rooted or not, running a custom Rom, using a third party sms/mms app?

I am running a custom rom. Miui hybrid right now. But ive also used chevy, bugless, and project elite but still doesn't work

I'm using zenulators miui hybrid, with handcent, I recently got a certified like new phone from verizon and I noticed it stopped working around that time, not sure if this might be the problem

Is it the stock mms or a third party app (handcent, Chomp, etc...)?

I think I know the solutions for this one. It is strange but ever since Handcent did an update (and I believe it was a few updates ago) if you did not type some sort of a message in with your picture, it would not send. The same for receiving pictures. They will not download unless the sender puts some sort of a message in with the picture.

The reason I know that this works is I was having the same problem and thought it was ROM related. Someone told me to try this and viola it works like a charm.

alot of people send mms without any text

MMS can be blocked through verizon's data filters and controlled through customer service as well as the service blocks (aka, "Block Picture and Video Messaging"). A call to customer service will help you solve this quickly or rule that out.

I can't get mms over wifi. 3g is fine.

I still couldn't get the messages to work with text and my pic messages aren't blocked. For what its worth I'm using handcent right now, but it doesn't work on stock either

You didn't remove the stock mms.apk did you? Even if you use handcent you need the stock mms.apk for pic messages.
