I've tried everything I could think of from re-flashing rom, to unrooting/rooting again. I put the files in sdcard/Music, sdcard/media/audio, sdcard/MIUI/music/mp3. MIUI music can't seem to find any of my files. I downloaded winamp to try and it found the files immediately. However, I want to be able to use the native music player. I tried looking all over these forums and can't seem to find any solution that works. Any help/suggestions would be great. Thank you in advanced.

UPDATE: I figured out that i need to reveal the folders which is a pain since i have each artist in a separate folder.. so the next issue was the playlist syncing which has been an issue for a long time anyway.. nothing new there.

i have a few childrens songs on my sdcard for my daughter during car rides and MIUI (all builds) has no issues finding music files.
are you using any backup apps to restore data for the music player?
try wiping the data/cache for the music player
