missing calls while on phone

Is there anyway to know you have a call waiting

Very unusual problem to have, as whenever you are in a call you are supposed to be able to see that someone else is calling you right there on the screen while giving you an audible nofication.

I see them but the phone might make a small beep in ear and if I'm not seeing screen i will miss call and i don't remember that happening before
