MHL issue, half screen goes white noise (images shown)

Droid DNA, running Hatka ROM and stock kernel, purchased new PNY MHL adapter and purchased new 15ft HDMI cable to the TV, tried rebooting didn't help, HDMI cable shows on DNA and the phone is charging. Other than it being the cables which I doubt I'm curious about whether you have any explanations or solutions. Thanks!

I have gone through 2 PNY connectors with identical results and I doubt that the HDMI cable is the problem.


I'm running Hatka's supercharged 2.0.0. but he says he doubts anything in his ROM could cause this and others who have tried his ROM said it didn't affect their mirroring.


Do you know if there's a way I can check whether my MHL connection is working?

Except that there are other people running this ROM with this hardware without issues.
