Messenging app advice needed :)

They all. Since I'm getting more adept at switching out roms I keep losing past text messages. Ideally I'd like an app that would restore my texts regardless of my rom (kind of like how gmail auto-loads previously seen email).

Let me know your recommendations...thanks!!

I use SMS Backup & Restore. This app captures the old text messages and will reload them onto your newly flashed device with caveats-no MMS and although the restored messages are in proper sequence, they are all dated with the restore date.

Thanks...that definitely helps. It'd be nice if there was an ongoing backup, like how gmail stores everything as you do it. But this really helps!! Thanks.

Just a quick update for anyone else with similar questions: I'm using Handscent and if you buy the premium membership (they have differing yearly packages from 3.99 to 9.99) you can auto-backup your texts to their servers. This is a nice feature and exactly what I really am looking for, but not willing to pay for

The above text-backup SMS Backup and Restore does the job for my purposes. It's a manual backup but that's more than fine for free. Hope this helps if anyone else needs it!!
