Does anyone know if messages+ is traceable? I know on my old Droid Charge, it had a messaging thing, but only sent through data. Messages+ works through WiFi or data. If I send messages through it, will they show up on the bill?
Yes, I get a daily email listing of my kids texts & phone calls which includes dates, times and numbers texted and called. I don't really need the lists but it's part of my Family Base feature where I manage our data safeguards.
As a parent who has been known to ground her children on many occasions, I would recommend having a conversation with your parents. Discuss the limits of your grounding and what you plan to do to fix or change things.
As a parent I don't really want to help, but I don't want to be someone who preaches my values on someone else. That being said, if you have an ipod or access to your phone, try an app called textfree. I haven't used it in years but it used to assign a phone number to your device allowing you to text via wifi on a device that didn't have a phone number associated with it. My daughter used it for years on her ipod touch with no connection to a carrier or any charges. If you stop using it for 30 days the number gets assigned to someone else.
The short answers are yes and no.
Like I said, I haven't used it in years but I just checked and it is available in the play store.
When I last used it you had to use the number they gave you.
