Handcent question- Search SMS

I've looked through old posts but couldn't find a post addressing this, so here i go. I want to search through my SMS messages but when I entered the search term in the box and hit the texts that came up, it went to my most recent message, not the message I was searching for. Anyone else come across this and know how to resolve it?

How do I figure out how many texts I have used up?

edit: actually theres an option to view how many texts youve sent to each person, enable that then add each persons total up
