MB 810 Driver XP Install Problems

I know this has been a common issue for more droid x users on windows XP.
I have read the threads, internet, etc, tried the tips/tricks, and nothing seems to work for me.

Phone details:
System Version: 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 2.2.1

Problem:
Every time i connect my droidx to my Windows XP SP3 box i am prompted for the MB 810 driver install. I currently show in device manger that this is not installed.

What do i need to do to get this work? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem... Windows wants to reinstall the motorola driver everytime I connect...

Was there any suggestions to this problem?

No suggestions. I just plugged into my Linux box. Alls i wanted to use it for was charging any ways. not sure why Windows XP is such a PITA. USB should automatically pick up and charge w/o a required motorola driver using the standard USB Bus Driver.

Any ways, good luck with finding your solution.
