Okay do this and tell me what yalls nexus does mine goes crazy! I don't think its supposed to either her ya go
Go to Settings > Developer Options > Show screen updates (turn option on)

It flashes the screen like that because as you move it, it's UPDATING. lol Turn it on, go to home screen and just watch your notification bar and widgets flash as they update.
